FALCON ENHANCEMENTS ENABLE FACILITY WIDE INTEGRATION
Unify IT and facility management monitoring and control with new Falcon™ options
Fort Collins, Colorado (July 18, 2006) - RLE Technologies, a leader in water leak detection systems and web-based monitoring and alarm notification solutions, announced several enhancements that extend its Falcon family of monitoring systems. From its core foundation of stand-alone web-based monitoring and control, the new Falcon products offer facility wide integration with both Building Management Systems (BMS) and Network Management Systems (NMS) through industry standard protocols - BACnet, SNMP, Modbus (RTU, ASCII, TCP/IP), and JBUS.
Collectively, the Falcon products are designed for seamless integration of critical operating parameters for enterprises large and small. The combination of stand-alone operation and standard industry protocol offers maximum flexibility in monitoring and controlling mission critical operations. The connecting of the IT world to the facility world is now a reality. The Falcon can take data from SNMP enabled devices and translate it into BMS compatible data using BACnet and/or Modbus protocols. Or reverse the process to get BMS parameters to the NMS. Aside from the interchange of information, the Falcon can issue its own alerts from this data interchange creating a redundant notification system via email, paging, and SNMP traps. The Falcon also offers out-of-band communications through its internal modem.
Additional enhancements include a power option card for battery back-up, an Access Control Weigand interface, and support for the UPS Standard MIB.
